I picked this assignment because it helped me better understand mental health access and how healthcare policies affect people, especially those in low-income communities. As a future healthcare worker, I feel like it’s important to understand the type of demographic I’ll be working with and how some groups may lack certain resources.While working on this, I learned how to research and break down different articles to understand the main points. This assignment also helped me improve my writing and organization skills, since I had to clearly explain each source and why it was important. I feel like this will help me in the future because understanding different populations and their needs is a big part of working in healthcare.
